On Saturday, June 16th at 7:00 A.M., the City Impact-hosted half-marathon and 5K will be held to help raise funds and awareness for this organization which promotes the well-being of families in the community. Whether it be through education, counseling or physical assistance, City Impact helps people from childhood through adulthood achieve their goals and motivate.

This is the second year that City Impact will hold a half-marathon and 5K along the Ventura beachfront coastline. Beginning on the North side of the Ventura Pier the races take place on flat ground featuring amazing views of the ocean and surrounding islands. Thank you to everyone that has been making use of the chiropractic classifieds on Planet Chiropractic. I got some really good feedback from chiropractors that have been using the system nearly 10 years while I was attending the CCA Parker Seminar event in San Diego. Work is regularly done on the classified ad system but it’s not something users usually notice, that’s about to change.

Modifications that are expected to be live by June of this year include improved browser compatibilities, improvements over the scaling and display of uploaded image files, and several modifications in database functions. Most users rarely notice changes like these but they are essential in improving functionality for the classified ad system. Depending on how nice summer is in Los Angeles this year, we will be introducing an entirely new layout for categories. That is something nearly every regular classified ad user will notice. The 2012 CCA Annual Chiropractic Convention in conjunction with Parker Seminars San Diego turned out to be a terrific success. Not only did chiropractors have the opportunity to get Continuing Education credits for relicensing, they also got great sunny weather, and three days of motivational talks by high energy chiropractors and chiropractic assistants.

Back in the days before Google adsense existed (almost hard to imagine) we ran an internal banner network on Planet Chiropractic. While cleaning out site directories, I recently came across hundreds of chiropractic themed banners, several of which were created in the 1990s. The days of running internal advertising networks are not over, but I doubt any of these banners would ever be put to use again. I’m sharing a bunch of them for purely historical purposes.
